I work at the convergence of art, design, science, and technology to drive creative content and lead design and communications strategies for the creation of medical illustrations, graphics, and digital health products and experiences. I work directly with scientific researchers, medical professionals, programmers, engineers, and artists to translate scientific concepts into engaging visual stories that communicate to broad audiences. My work has been utilized to support multimillion-dollar funded medical research, education, clinical care, public relations, and marketing objectives.
My latest experience is working with universities on large federally funded and private research grants as an artist, designer, art director, and as a consultant. I am a visual problem solver and my background research, including reading scientific papers and meeting with experts is often an integral part of my creative process to distill complex information into a clear and engaging visual narrative.
I am skilled at providing creative solutions to complex problems for both small and large scale objectives, resulting in an exceptional client experience. I strive to leave clients with a superior, visually appealing, and unique product which adheres to budgets and deadlines.
My experience includes end-to-end creation of a wide range of illustrations, graphic designs, and digital health products for scientific research, academic programs, and private industry marketing. My work includes medical illustrations, animations, data visualizations, UI/UX design for websites and interactives, and graphic designs for infographics, reports, posters, presentations, logos, stationary, brochures, catalogs, data sheets, manuals, trade show displays, educational and special event collateral, templates, invitations, fliers, banners, and video displays. I also provide leadership, guidance, and direction to junior team members and vendors.
I create unique artwork for scientific institute and laboratory teams while maintaining brand identity. I am skilled with incorporating multiple institution brands into single projects with cohesion.
My illustrations include a wide range of 2d and 3d visualizations from anatomical and physiological processes to infographics and iconography.
I create unique websites for individuals, teams, and institutions. I am skilled with updating and modernizing sites with the latest visual technology and media techniques while maintaining site history.
The goal of every design is to create an exceptional user experience. I begin and end with research and work closely with other team members to ensure that each project provides users with seamless site interaction.
I have an advanced understanding of anatomy and physiology, illustration techniques, graphic design, user experience design, typography, layout, color and composition principles, and web design standards. I am an expert with the Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft programs and have experience with a wide variety of web design, graphic design, and 3d programs.
My experience and education have provided me with the ability to meet the current needs of clients by utilizing a wide range of artistic methods and media production. I have proven ability to lead and to communicate effectively through every area of the production process.
